Description:
Meet Leo – A Loyal and Loving Companion in Search of His Forever Home
Leo is a sweet, spunky, and incredibly smart dog who loves his people deeply. He thrives on affection and cuddles and wants nothing more than to be the center of someone’s world. Leo is eager to please and knows several commands, including sit, lay down, wait, look, touch, and even stay when he’s calm. He’s leash-trained and highly motivated by treats, making him a great candidate for further training.
While Leo’s love and loyalty are unmatched, he’s also a sensitive and insecure guy. He can be reactive to new situations, other dogs, and loud noises, and he tends to bark when he feels unsure or protective. With time, patience, and consistent training, these behaviors could be managed, allowing Leo to feel more confident and secure.
What Leo Needs:
• A loving home where he’s the only dog (he’s okay with cats!).
• An owner who is patient, consistent, and experienced or willing to invest time in training.
• A home with a secure yard or an owner committed to leash walks since he might try to run off when unleashed.
• Someone who’s home often, as he loves company and needs regular potty breaks to avoid accidents.
The Details:
• Positive Traits: Loving, intelligent, eager to please, cuddle-bug.
• Challenges: Barking, reactivity to dogs, pee accidents in the house.
• Medical History: Had bilateral patella surgery at 1 year old. He’s fully healed but occasionally experiences minor leg discomfort.
Leo would do best with someone who has time and energy to help him become his best self. He’s full of potential and, with the right care, can grow into the loyal, well-behaved companion he’s meant to be.
I have loved this dog since the day I brought him home, but I know there is a better home out there for him.
If you’re looking for a dog to love and bond with deeply, Leo could be the perfect fit for your home.
He is a larger Pomeranian naturally, but could lose a few pounds we just do not get out like we use to with him. I have DNA tests that show he is 100% Pomeranian.
