Building a Future Where Pets and People Stay Together

Help Us Open the Doors to Our New Home. Ruff Haven is growing, and so is the need.

We are taking a huge step forward: securing a new facility to serve as the new home of Ruff Haven Crisis Sheltering. Our new building doubles our space, allowing us to shelter more animals, expand veterinary services, and strengthen the support we provide to individuals in crisis.

Now, we need your help to finish the job.

Ruff Haven is the only organization in Utah focused exclusively on short-term crisis sheltering for pets of people experiencing homelessness, hospitalization, domestic violence, or other emergencies. Our new facility will allow us to:
 

  • Double our capacity for cats

  • Expand urgent and preventative veterinary care with an on-site clinic in partnership with Wasatch Community Clinic

  • Host vaccine clinics, pet food pantries, and outreach events with a more personalized touch

  • Provide safe, comfortable space for owned animals in times of crisis, which includes a family visiting room

  • Keep more pets with their people
