TJ Barkston
Gender: Male
Weight: 40 Pounds
Age: 1.5 Years
Can Live With: Needs to be the only pet, Children 12+, Rats or hamsters
Description:
He is incredibly sweet once you gain his trust, though his trust may be hard to earn. He loves to play fetch, rough house, and play tug of war. He loves puzzles and tearing apart cardboard. He struggles with new people and other animals, and has a high prey drive. When I first got him I had the last member of my last mischief (rat). He did well with him, though I kept them primarily separate. As for commands, he knows heel (right), stay, place, go kennel, get ball, give ball, wait, speak, chill, and off. He has also been taught to climb trees and other structures, with eh command “get on up” or “get up”. He learns very quickly, and is very smart. I have not seen how he is around children, and so I would be very wary and if an introduction were to be made I would approach it very carefully. An ideal home would be on one which he can get lot of attention from someone with high drive dog experience. If you would like to keep him with other pets, it will be a bit of a feat. He will do well with someone who can take him on many hikes and likes a dog who likes to cuddle and stay by your side 24/7.
