Storm is a special dog. We desperately want to find a safe home for him, but it has become very clear that we can not afford to keep caring for him. We have had a family medical emergency/ financial change and things are just not going to be able to continue on as they have been.
We originally took him in a a rescue/ foster because he was biting his previous owners. There were some major relationship issues there. He is a big, strong, confident German shepherd who needs a strong, confident leader who has handled shepherds before. They were just not that. They wanted a lap dog, and he just doesn't love affection.
He has come a VERY long way since coming into our home. He's kennel trained, muzzle trained, treadmill trained, great on a leash, and generally a pretty chill dog when he's got structure. But he will still get food aggressive. We have figured out a couple of good ways to feed him and things have been good for a while. But he has bit people over food, and it is still an issue.
He's a really good dog otherwise, he just needs the right owner
