Ralph
Gender: Male
Weight: 90
Age: 4.5 Years
Can Live With: Children, Cats, Dogs, Horses, Livestock, Small Animals
Description:
He gets along with:
Children, adults, and many different animals. He is a very loving, playful, and affectionate dog who enjoys being part of the family.
He does best with:
He is currently not comfortable around unfamiliar dogs due to having been attacked by two other dogs in the past. When another dog gets too close, he may growl or lunge as a way of communicating that he feels uncomfortable or unsafe. With patience and training, I have been able to help him become comfortable around certain dogs, and he has shown that he is very trainable and capable of making progress.
Training:
He is house trained, potty trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands including sit, come, stay, shake, and more.
The Home He Needs:
He would thrive in a larger home with a secure yard and a family who has plenty of time to spend with him. Ideally, his new family would not travel frequently, as he really loves being around his people and wants to be included in family life.
He has an enormous personality—he is goofy, talkative, affectionate, cuddly, and truly believes he is a giant lap dog. He loves his people deeply and has a natural instinct to watch over and protect his family.
He has a lot of energy and can sometimes look intimidating simply because of his size and excitement, but underneath that is a dog who just wants to be loved, included, and close to his people.
He is looking for someone who will be patient with him, understand his past, continue working with him, and give him the safe and loving home he deserves.
