Description:
Looking for a home: approximately 10 month old, large breed puppy we call Tenoch. Possibly a LabAire - a mix between an Airedale Terrier and a Lab (we are not positive, but he fits the looks and personality). Tenoch is neutered, vaccinated, and had a simple 3 cm hernia repaired during his neuter surgery; the vet said he was likely born with the hernia. He is currently around 65 lbs. and 24-25 inches tall. Tenoch is a lovable, goofy, high energy/active, puppy that just wants to be around his humans. We have been fostering him for a couple months and are hoping to rehome him to an active family that plans to spend time with him and include him as part of the family. He is kennel trained and with a treat, or even a favorite toy, will easily go into the kennel for bed time, but once in there it is probably best he be left alone. He is potty trained, and has done just fine in the kennel overnight, he will stand at the door when he needs out. This lovable boy loves to play, and plays often. His favorite games are keep away, tug-o-war, and of course, fetch. He also has quite a fondness for sprinklers. He has his favorite "babies" that he loves to carry around with him. He loves to be pet, especially belly rubs, and loves a good cuddle. He has a goofy side and you can often see him smiling with his tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth. He deserves so much love and due to his high energy needs pet parents who will be able to give him attention and activity. An enclosed yard with space to run would be good for him. He would be great with an active family, and absolutely loves older kids. Given a chance to have another dog buddy, and be better socialized with other dogs, he would likely love to have a dog sibling; especially to help burn off that extra energy. He is very loyal and is our Shadow. He wants to be part of everything you are doing, is curious, happy, and playful. He really just wants to please you and shows he wants to be obedient. We would love to see him go to a good family. We have made the difficult decision to rehome him as we had only planned to keep him temporarily, to keep him out of the shelter, and it is not working out with our cats as well as we'd hoped. We have 5 cats, and his excitement to "be friends" with them is not returned by the cats. Unfortunately this has made it difficult to ensure all our pets get enough of our attention and that they have room to roam our home. We really love this sweet boy so much, and want to ensure he is going to another home where he will be loved just as much.
