The Good: Kaya is an amazing dog. She's funny, clever, emotionally intelligent and so eager to please. She is incredibly loyal to her people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She's always down for an adventure, is the world's best fetcher, can hike for days and her trainer is pretty sure she could make a living as a search dog because her nose is so good.  She's highly intelligent and loves to learn new tricks and commands. She's fully house-trained and crate-trained, making her a great addition to any household.

If you're looking for a loyal and devoted companion who just needs a little extra love and attention, she's the dog for you.

The Challenges: Due to her reactivity issues, she would be best suited for a home without other dogs or young children. She's never been aggressive, but her reactions to other dogs and children can be unpredictable and stressful for all involved. We believe she would thrive in a home with adults who are experienced with reactive dogs and can provide her with the time and patience she needs to feel safe and secure.
