Ziggy is a great dog and will be your best friend. He loves his people and just being close. He's a cuddler and thinks he's a lap dog sometimes. He bonds well with women, men take a little longer. He grew up around small children and never had issues but hasn't been around kids recently so it's unknown. Ziggy would be best as an only pet or with other dogs if you can introduce them correctly. He is protective, even to a fault. He can be aggressive with strangers or other animals especially when unannounced. This is usually due to anxiety but not always. The less commotion in the home, the better. Does not like cats. He doesn’t bark much but often grumbles/growls at you for food, potty or attention. He has a very quirky personality and is startled by most things especially plastic bags. He likes being talked to and will listen intently. He loves wholeheartedly.
He has bells he rings or sits by the door to go potty. He knows the commands sit, shake and stay/wait. Working on lay down and being quiet when someone’s at the door. He struggles recalling especially when focused on something else.
Ziggy Smalls has a huge personality and is very intelligent. He makes an amazing companion and will follow you to the ends of the earth, but is occasionally and suddenly aggressive. With the right environment and understanding, he is a great dog but you must be aware of his issues.
